6 rebels killed in Ghazni clash

GHAZNI CITY (PANinfo-icon): Six Talibaninfo-icon militants were killed and four others wounded during a clash with Afghan Local Police (ALP) personnel in southern Ghazni province on Friday, an official said.

Lasting two hours, the early morning clash erupted when a group of armed insurgents attacked an ALP post in Ibrahimkhel village of Andar district, secretary to the governor, Nabi Jan, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

The dead insurgents had been evacuated to the provincial civil hospital, he said.

A doctor on duty at the hospital, Mohammad Qasim, confirmed receiving six bodies of insurgents at the hospital.

The Taliban have not yet commented on the incident.
