Kidnapped official found dead in Wardak

KABUL): Unknown gunmen killed a district administration officer after kidnapping him in central Maidan Wardak province, an official said on Saturday.

Zafar Khan, an administrative officer in Jalrez district, was kidnapped on Thursday and his dead body was found dumped on the Kabul-Kandahar highway on Friday, the governor’s spokesman, Attaullah Khogyani, told Pajhwok Afghan News that.

Governor Abdul Majeed Khogyani, condemning the killing, said police had open an investigation into the case.
