KABUL trough their political office in Qatar if they met some Afghan government’s conditions.
The ministry spokesman Janan Musazai told a press conference in Kabul the government was ready to start peace negotiations if the Taliban accepted its two main conditions.
“The first condition is that the (Taliban) office should be used only for negotiations not for any other activities and the office should not be named as the political office of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan,” he said.
Musazai said the second condition of the government was direct contracts between authorised Taliban representatives and the High Peace Council.
The Taliban have closed their office in the Gulf state to protest the removal of its flag and a sign identifying the movement as the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
Musazai said the government preferred opening Taliban office in Saudi Arabia or Turkey after the Doha office failed to produce any results.
