KABUL): Noted religious scholars from several Muslim countries are expected to arrive in Kabul for a day-long international conference on Tuesday, an official said.
The international ulema (HPC).
HPC spokesman Maulvi Shahzada Shahid told Pajhwok Afghan News Islamic scholars would express their views about durable peace and the current situation in Afghanistan.
He said ulema from Pakistan, Iran, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Egypt, Turkey and Saudi Arabia had been invited to the event.
Afghanistan Ulema Council head Maulvi Qayamuddin Kashaf and HCP chief Salahuddin Rabbani will jointly inaugurate the conference at 9am. The moot will continue till 5pm.
