JALALABAD/TIRINKOT (PAN): Three civilians including a child and half a dozen insurgents have been killed in separate incidents of violence over the past 24 hours, officials said on Tuesday.
Two civilians were killed when a home-made bomb ripped through a car in Tirinkot, the capital of central Uruzgan province, on Tuesday morning, police spokesman Farid Ayel told Pajhwok Afghan News.
The incident came a day after three rebels were killed and four others wounded during a night time raid on a house in the city’s neighbourhood, the gubernatorial spokesman said, adding some weapons and ammunitions were also seized.

The governor’s spokesman, Attaullah Khogyani confirmed the incident and identified the slain commander as Talwar.
Elsewhere in Nirkh district, a Hezb-i-Islami commander Matin was killed and his companion wounded in a bomb explosion in Khinjan area.
In the eastern city of Jalalabad, a bomb went off in front of a house, killing one child and injuring another on Tuesday morning, said police spokesman Hazrat Hussain Mashriqiwal.
