KABULinfo-icon (PANinfo-icon): The Independent Election Commission (IECinfo-icon) on Monday said it was in talks with the Presidential Palace and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on how to grant overseas Afghans their right to vote in the April 5 presidential elections.

In an interview with the state-run TV, IEC spokesman Noor Mohammad Noor said if they received funds, a system would be developed to enable Afghan expatriates to cast their votes in the upcoming polls.

He said millions of Afghans lived in Pakistaninfo-icon, Iran, India, the US, and Europe, saying if resources were made available to them, they would grant overseas Afghan the right to vote.
