NATO supply truck attacked in Khyber

KABUL‘s northwestern tribal region of Khyber Agency, a media report said on Friday.

The driver was wounded as gunmen opened fire on the vehicle in the sub-district of Jamrud on Thursday, a Pakistani newspaper quoted local officials as saying.

Identified as Wali Muhammad, the driver belongs to the Landikotal area near the Torkham border, according to The News International. He was evacuated to the Agency Headquarters Hospital in Jamrud.

On Wednesday, the driver and cleaner of a truck were killed in a similar attack on a NATO supply truck in Quetta, the capital of southwestern Balochistan province.

Hailing from Khyber, Shinwari and Ishtiaq were buried in their native village on Thursday. They had been shot dead by two motorcyclists.
