MAHMOOD RAQI (PAN): Police on Sunday claimed killing three insurgents and injuring four others during an operation in the Ala Saee district of central Kapisa province.
Police chief Brig. Gen. Khwaja Faqir Ahmad Siddiqui told Pajhwok Afghan News the operation was carried out a day earlier.
He added simultaneously another operation was ongoing in Tagab district, where six armed insurgents, including a judge and a prison manager, had been arrested.
Taliban’s spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said nothing about the police claims, but said a convoy of Afghan National Army troops was attacked in Qala-i-Tagab area yesterday morning, inflicting casualties on the troops and destroying a military tank.
