KABUL on the Bilateral Security Agreement (BSA) with the United States, an official said on Sunday.
The Preparatory Commission said participants had started arriving in Kabul to attend the event. A spokesman for the jirga, Abdul Khaliq Hussaini Pashai, told Pajhwok Afghan News those reaching Kabul included public representatives from Laghman, Parwan, Balkh, Herat, Uruzgan and Logar provinces.
A number of Afghans living in Iran, Pakistan and the Europe have also reached Kabul. Pashai said delegates would continue arriving till Nov 19, hoping all participants would reach the venue over the next two days.
Nearly 3,000 tribal elders and civil society leaders have been invited to take part in the traditional gathering that will advise the government on whether or not the draft agreement should be signed. The Jirga is set to be held on next Thursday.
