3 women, man mysteriously killed

ZARANJ (PAN and a man have been found dead under mysterious circumstances in the capital of southwestern Nimroz province, an official said on Wednesday.

The four were found shot to death in a cave near Zaranj, the provincial capital, on Tuesday night, crime branch chief Col Rahmatullah Nasir, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

He said the slain individuals were reportedly addicted to drugs and had been living in the cave after being expelled from neighboring Iran. An investigation has been launched, but no one arrested so far.

A resident of the area, Juma Khan, believed the quartet might have been killed by their relatives because they were drug addicts and possibly involved in criminal activities.
