Syed Farrukh Shah told Pajhwok Afghan News the two-day dialogue, beginning in Kabul on Tuesday, would help overcome the trust deficit and pave the way for greater understanding between the countries.
Headed by their respective conveners, Parliamentary Friendship Groups in the National Assembly and Senate of Pakistan will take part in the discourse with their Afghan counterparts.
At least nine rounds of the dialogue have been held so far. The 10th meeting would help promote understanding on specific issues that continued to shape Pakistan-Afghanistan relations, he added.
Lawmaker Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao and Senator Afrasiab Khattak are heading their respective delegations.
Other members of the Pakistani team are Members National Assembly (MNAs) Sahibzada Tariqullah, Bismillah Khan, Ghazi Gulab Jamal, Malik Itebar Khan and Mrs. Mussarrat Ahmedzeb and Senators Zafar Ali Shah and Abdul Nabi Bangash.
Faisal Karim Kundi, former deputy speaker of the National Assembly, Senators Dr. Mohammad Jahangir Badar and Mohammad Daud Khan Achakzai are also part of the visiting delegation.
