10 outlaws detained in Balk operation

Mazar-e-Sharif (PAN): Ten individuals involved in murder and abduction cases have been arrested in the Sholgar district of northern Balkh province, officials said Thursday.

Police officer Col. Abdur Rahman Rahim told reporters the outlaws were held last night during an operation. Some of the detainees have reportedly have confessed to their involvement in murder and kidnappings.

Meanwhile, residents expressed pleasure over the arrests and lauded police efforts at containing crimes. Mohammad Saleem told Pajhwok Afghan News the criminals had killed more than 10 elders of the area.
