KABUL-A to a convincing win over Tajikistan in a one-day match at the Ghazni Amanullah Khan International Stadium in Nangarhar on Friday.
The hosts won the toss and elected to bat first in the 50-over match, posting a formidable total of 290 runs for the loss of eight wickets, the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) spokesman said.
Farid Hotak told Pajhwok Afghan News Taraki hit 92 and Shafiqullah Shafaq 32 runs for the A-team, while Munawar and Ahmad Nabil took two wickets apiece for the visitors.
In response, Tajikistan were bundled out for 154 in the 39th over, handing Afghanistan-A a thumping 136-run victory. Javed Ahmadi was declared the Man of the Match.
