Parwan collision leaves 1 dead, 5 injured

CHARIKAR):  One passenger was killed and five others were injured in a traffic accident in central Parwan province on Friday noon, an official said.

Parwan Traffic Officer Col. Mohammad Younus Pardesi told Pajhwok Afghan News the casualties resulted from a head-on collision between a passenger coach and bus.

He said the collision occurred in the Tajikan area of Jabalus Saraj district at 12 noon. Slippery road condition in the wake of heavy snowfall caused the crash.

He said two of the injured, who were evacuated to Parwan Civil Hospital, were in critical condition.
