KABUL police official was killed on Saturday after a verbal clash with his colleagues in Kabul, where he had come to spend vacation with his family.
Col. Humayun Aini, an Interior Ministry official, told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place in the Omaid-i-Sabz Park last evening.
He identified the victim as Sergeant Mohammad Yousaf, communication officer at the Ghor police headquarters. One policeman was wounded in the incident. One individual has been in connection with the shooting.
But Brig. Gen. Hafizullah Alizada, head of the sixth police district, said that the officer had been killed by one of his relatives.
Mohammad Jan Qambari, the victim’s neighbour, said Yousaf had gone to the park with a pistol and a walkie-talkie. He had a verbal clash with police on his way back home.
