GHAZNI CITY (PAN): Three civilians have been killed in a bomb explosion in the Aab Band district of southern Ghazni province, an official said on Tuesday.
The men were killed when the vehicle they were travelling in struck a roadside bomb in Dalan area late on Monday, the district chief told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Allah Dad Halimi said the victims, members of a family, were on their way to the area to see a plot of land they had purchased there.
Also in Ghazni, one militant was killed and three others wounded in a clash with Afghan Local Police (ALP) personnel in Deh Yak district.
Col. Faiz Mohammad Toofan, the district police chief, said a made-in-Iran rocket-propelled grenade was seized as a result of the 30-minute encounter.
