KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): The International Security Assistance Force (ISAFinfo-icon) lost three personnel in an aircraft crash in eastern Afghanistaninfo-icon on Friday, the alliance said.

In line with its policy, the NATOinfo-icon-led force neither gave the victims’ nationalities nor the exact location of the incident.

“Two ISAF service members and one ISAF civilian died following an aircraft mishap in eastern Afghanistan today,” the coalition said in a brief statement.

Last month, an ISAF helicopter went down in militancy-plagued southern Zabul province. Local officials confirmed the chopper had been shot down by militants.

Six US soldiers had been killed and one person on board the Black Hawk UH-60 injured in the crash in Shah Joi district.
