KABUL) officials said on Saturday.

IEC Secretary Ziaul Haq Amarkhel told Pajhwok Afghan News the 414 polling stations in Badghis, Ghor, Farah, Helmand, Badakhshan, Sar-i-Pul, Parwan, Nuristan, Kunar and Laghman had been declared most sensitive.

The panel was all ready to conduct elections in every constituency, he said, adding the latest security plan revealed some areas were dangerous. The IEC would not be able to hold the ballot in 414 polling stations, he informed.

He said delivery of necessary materials to polling stations was underway and the process would be completed by January 15.  The presidential and provincial council polls are scheduled to be held on April 5.
