JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Afghanistan’s Independent Human Rights Commission (IHRC) on Saturday launched an investigation to determine the causes of increasing traffic accidents across the country.
The commission made this announcement at a gathering in Jalalabad, the capital of eastern Nangarhar province.

Issues pertaining to an increase in traffic mishaps came up for discussion. Last year, 3,000 people were killed in accident across the country, Hotak said.
He added the commission had initiated an investigation to point out the causes of growing road in the country.
Nuristani deplored the Afghans were increasingly losing their lives to violence on the one hand and to road accidents on the other.
Haji Allah Nazar, the provincial traffic department head, said traffic police needed advanced training to curb rising mishaps.
