Students abused in Pak seminaries: NDS

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): A man arrested on charges of planting bombs has alleged children are sexually abused in Pakistani seminaries, the National Directorate of Security (NDSinfo-icon) said on Wednesday.

The bomb maker was arrested red-handed while planting an explosive device on a road leading to the Alberoni University in the Kohistan district of central Parwan province, the spy service said.  

An NDS press release said that the detainee from Kapisa province, Mayel Agha, had confessed to making and planting bombs. He received religious educationinfo-icon at the Ahyaul Ulum Madrassainfo-icon in Peshawar.  

Madrassa head Shah Hakim Mazhar sexually abused children and planned to abuse him as well, Agha alleged. Mazhar offered him money but the student escaped and learnt making mines in Waziristan.
