Asked to bat in the one-day encounter, the visitors posted a formidable total of 260 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the stipulated 44 overs, the Afghanistan Cricket Board spokesman said.

Farid Hotak told Pajhwok Afghan News that Usman Ghani chipped in with 86 runs, Ihsanullah 50 and Younas Khan 50.

The rivals succumbed to Afghanistan’s fierce bowling attack and were bundled out for 161 runs, handing Afghanistan an emphatic 99-run win, Hotak said.
