TARINKOT/ GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Two civilians were killed and four others wounded in separate blasts in central Uruzgan and southern Ghazni provinces on Saturday, officials said.
A roadside bomb exploded at 2:00pm on the outskirts of Tirinkot, the capital of Uruzgan, leaving two people dead and as many wounded.
Second Lieutenant Gul Agha told Pajhwok Afghan News: “A car coming to Tirinkot hit a roadside bomb, leaving two people dead and two others injured.”
Dr. Nader, director of the Uruzgan hospital, confirmed two bodies and an injured man had been brought to the hospital. The wounded person was in critical condition, he said.
Separately, two people were injured in a similar blast in Ghazni province. Shafiqullah Nang, the governor’s spokesman, said the time bomb had been attached to a passenger vehicle.
The driver and a passenger were wounded. But Mohammadullah, an eyewitness, said the driver of the car had died in the blast.
