KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Interior (MoI) on Saturday rejected Pakistaninfo-icon’s claim regarding the killing of 23 Frontier Constabulary (FC) personnel inside Afghanistaninfo-icon’s territory.

On February 17, a faction of the Pakistani Talibaninfo-icon said it had executed 23 FC personnel, who have been held captive since 2010. The soldiers were killed in retaliation for continued security operations.

Pakistan’s Adviser on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz subsequently conveyed a protest to Foreign Minister Zarar Ahmad Osmani in the Maldives, where they were attending a SAARCinfo-icon meeting.

A statement from MoI said the ministry said it had found no evidence substantiating the allegation after an investigation into the matter.

“Afghan National Police Force will not allow any terrorist group to operate inside Afghanistan. Our security forces are ready to further investigate if the Pakistan government provides us any evidence,” it added.
