KABUL (Pajhwok): After considerable negotiations, the Niazai tribe on Thursday announced creation of social and nationwide council, underlining tribal unity and greater coordination to protect their constitutional rights.
A large number of Niazi tribesmen from 34 provinces gathered in the capital Kabul to exchange views on the formation of a united platform from where the problems faced by the scattered tribe could be addressed diligently.
Eng Azizullah Niazi, head of the newly-established council, said the forum would play greater role within the limit of constitution to tackle political, cultural, economic and social problems in Afghanistan.
He would strive to provide a level playing field for his tribe to extend all possible cooperation to each other and encourage the scattered tribe to forge unity among their ranks. “We will cooperate among each other to address health problems, reduce dowry, eliminate bad customs and serve the tribe with social services,” he added.
He said they would provide education facilities for Niazi youth as well as help them in finding job opportunities to reduce joblessness in the community. Niazi tribe would hold cordial relations and forge unity to with other tribes.
