KABUL (Pajhwok): Three consecutive blasts rocked a football ground where a campaign rally for presidential candidate Abdul Rab Rassoul Sayyaf was taking place in southern Ghazni province, but there were no casualties, an eyewitness said.
Saifullah Maftoon, who was attending the rally, told Pajhwok Afghan News that no one got hurt in the blasts.
He said police had cordoned off the area and detained a suspect in connection with the explosions.
The blasts follow the Taliban’s future.
A day earlier, police and elders negotiated the release of four Independent Election Commission workers kidnapped by the Taliban in eastern Nangarhar province.
In northern Faryab province, three elders, who campaign for Abdullah Abdhullah, were shot dead by militants as they left a public ceremony on Wednesday.
