6 rebels killed in Kandahar operation

KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): Security officials in southern Kandahar province on Saturday claimed killing six militants.

The Kandahar governor’s spokesman told Pajhwok Afghan News six insurgents were killed during a search operation in Panjwai district.

Javed Faisal said 20 kilogram of explosives, 20 landmines, 100 bullets and a M16 machine gun were sized during the operation in Kunwazi and Do Aab areas.

But the Ministry of Defense said that six militants were killed and four others wounded by the bomb they were making.
