GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Three militants were killed by the roadside bomb they were planting in southern Ghazni province on Monday, an official said.
The blast took place in Maqur district in the morning, 203rd Thunder Military Corps spokesman Nazifullah Sultani told Pajhwok Afghan News. He said the road was frequently used by Afghan security forces.
Militants did not comment on the incident, but claimed killing three policemen in a bomb attack in the Jabbar Khail area on the outskirts of Ghazni City.
Also on Monday, a civilian was injured in an explosion in the capital of Ghazni. The governor’s spokesman, Shafiq Nang said the blast was triggered by explosives placed under a bridge.
