CHARIKAR/FARAH (Pajhwok): A woman was killed when a rocket hit a house in central Parwan province on Tuesday, hours after a man was gunned down in western Farah province, officials said.
The woman was killed when a rocket allegedly fired by militants hit her house during a clash with the public order police in the Seyah Gard district around noon, an Afghan Local Police (ALP) commander, Shin Gul, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Resident Mohammad Masoom Mujaddedi confirmed the clash in Kalacha area and the woman’s death. However, he said it was unclear which side fired the rocket.
The Taliban have not yet commented in this regard.
In Farah City, unknown gunmen shot dead a man, who owned a puncture repair station, on Monday night.
Police chief Brig Gen Mohammad Razaq Yaqubi said two suspects had been arrested in connection with the murder that took place in the 5th police.
Linking the incident to a personal enmity, the police chief said an investigation was underway.
