6 dead in Waziristan mortar shell blast

KABUL border.

The shell went off in the Shawal area of North Waziristan, killing four women, a man and a child, DawnNews reported.  Shawal is located 55 kilometres west of Miranshah.

In Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, five people were wounded in a bomb blast near the Sirki Gate area. A woman was among the injured.
