CHARIKAR (Pajhwok): Presidential runner Dr Abdullah Abdullah on Thursday said he would revive a cement factory and construct a water dam in central Parwan province if succeeded in the April 5 elections.
Abdullah, who arrived in Parwan along with his running mates, addressed a rally attended by thousands of people, including women. He was optimistic of victory, claiming most Afghans supported him.
His first vice-presidential running mate, Eng Mohammad Khan, called on the people to vote for Abdullah.
Abdullah’s second vice-presidential pick, Mohammad Mohaqiq, asked the gathering to help their camp prevent any outside interference at polling stations.
He said the Afghans had missed many chances to improve security, economy and infrastructure and the upcoming elections were giving them a new chance.
