KABUL’s South Waziristan tribal region have demanded action against illegal Afghan citizens in their areas.

They accused the political administration of helping illegal Afghan nationals to get fake documents, including computerised Pakistani identity cards.

Addressing a news conference in Peshawar, Wazir tribe chief Malik Mohammad Jamil complained the Afghans had created problems for the local people.

He said the illegal foreigners were involved in crimes, but the administration was not taking action against them. The Afghans paid up to Rs70,000 for obtaining a single computerised identity card.

The fake documents enable foreigners to get admissions to educational institutions. He claimed a resident of Paktia province had got admission to the Bannu Medical College on a seat reserved for local students.
