Kunduz accident claims a dozen lives

KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok) A dozen people were killed on Wednesday when the vehicle they were travelling in overturned in northern Kunduz province, an official said.

As a result of the accident in Aliabad district at about 5pm, four women were wounded, the town’s administrative head told Pajhwok Afghan News.

Mahboobullah Saeedi said the fatalities included 10 women, who were returning home from a wedding party. Linked to rash driving, the incident is currently under investigation.

Police spokesman Syed Sarwar Hussaini confirmed the accident, saying police arrived at the scene and evacuated the injured to hospital.
