TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): Eight civilians, including women and children have been killed in two separate bomb blasts in central Uruzgan province, officials said Friday.
The first blast occurred when a civilian car hit a roadside bomb at around 3:00pm in Abardi locality on the outskirts of central capital.
Ahmad Farid Faizai, in charge of the governor house, told Pajhwok Afghan News five people, including a woman and a child were killed while three others wounded in the explosion.
The injured were shifted to Uruzgan central hospital, with two of the wounded in critical condition, he added.
Separately, Faiz Mohammad, Chinartu district’s chief, said a car carrying civilian came under insurgents’ attack, leaving three women dead and two others wounded.
