MAIDAN SHAHR (Pajhwok): The defence minister on Monday alleged all terrorist attacks in Afghanistan).

During his visit to central Maidan Wardak province to monitor election security, Gen. Bismillah Mohammadi held discussions with the governor and other provincial officials.

Pointing to the recent spate of violence across the country, Mohammadi said the Pakistani spy network had lately intensified attacks in Afghanistan to disrupt landmark elections.

In the meeting with provincial authorities, Afghan and foreign forces, the minister said security personnel had taken effective measures to hold successful presidential and provincial council polls.

He promised to deploy Special Force personnel to the province within 24 hour to coordinate with local security forces for improving the environment.

Governor Abdul Majeed Khogyani assured the minister of better coordination among security organs. He said provincial security and civilian authorities would leave no stone unturned in making transparent the polls.
