GHAZNI (Pajhwok): The Independent Electoral Complaints Commission (IECC) in southern Ghazni province on Monday said objections lodged in connection with irregularities should be supported by authentic proofs.
IECC Commissioner Abdul Qadir Takin told Pajhwok Afghan News around 100 complaints had been registered so far, including those against police officials and district chiefs supporting particular presidential candidates.
“But we are not provided with proofs. The complainants should give us documents in support of their claims,” he noted.
Officials of the Independent Election Commission (IEC) said there were problems on the polling day. They lauded the performance of Afghan forces for maintaining tight security.
