GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): At least eight persons were killed and two others wounded as a result of a bomb blast and a traffic accident in southern Ghazni province on Thursday, an official said.
Two people died when a passenger car struck a roadside bomb in Asfandi area on the outskirts of Chazni City around 10am, Mohammad Ali Ahmadi, the deputy governor, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
The explosion was so powerful that it completely damaged the car.
Separately, six people died and two others injured in a traffic incident in Qarabagh district. The accident occurred in the Liwani Bazar area, Baz Mohammad Himat, an official at the hospital, said.
