GHAZNI (Pajhwok): One civilian has been killed and two others injured, including a policeman, in two separate incidents in southern Ghazni province, officials said the other day.
Shafiq Nang, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News that militants opened fire on two persons in Pashtoon Abad locality on the outskirts of Ghazni city, the provincial capital, leaving a civilian dead and a policeman injured.
Baz Muhammad, head of the Ghazni Provincial Hospital, said the wounded policeman was in stable condition.
Noorullah, an eyewitness, said two insurgents riding a motorbike came and opened indiscriminate fire on the two persons.
The spokesman said a civilian suffered injuries when militants fired two rockets on Ghazni city, which landed in the centre of the bazaar and caused casualty.
He said the other rocket could not explode.
