CHARIKAR fuel tanker was blown up in the Bagram district of central Parwan province, an official said on Thursday.

The bomb attached to a fuel tanker in an ISAF supply convoy went off in front of the Bagram airbase last night, the district police chief said.

Col Mohammad Masoom Farzaee told Pajhwok Afghan News 15 shops, a police post and a car were torched in incident. No one suffered casualties.

He estimated the losses at more than three million afghanis, saying no one had detained so far in connection with the incident.

A shopkeeper in Bagram bazaar, Malik Asghar, said that four of his gas and fuel shops were completely gutted, causing him a loss of two million afghanis. He asked the government to compensate him.
