JALALABAD (Pajhwok): The governor of eastern Nangarhar province on Wednesday said a foreign intelligence war has been imposed on Afghanistan, benefitting aliens and victimizing Afghans.
Maulvi Attaullah Ludin was speaking at a memorial service held at the Governor’s House to pay respects to the victims of an organised group suicide attack on the provincial justice department.
The attack left two policemen and five civilians dead in Jalalabad, the provincial capital two days ago.
Ludin’s spokesman Ahmad Zia Abdulzai told Pajhwok Afghan News collective prayers were offered for the departed souls at the memorial service.
Ludin, his deputy Mohammad Hanif Gardiwal, civil and military officials, tribal elders and businessmen attended the service. A delegation from the Ministry of Justice also attended the occasion.
Ludin said a foreign intelligence war had been imposed on the Afghans, a war that benefitted foreigners, but victimised Afghans.
He said the enemies of Afghanistan should realise that the Afghans had historically defended their motherland and religion.
The governor strongly condemned the brazen attack on the justice department, extending his condolences to the affected families.
He said security organs had been directed to find and arrest the perpetrators behind the massacre and bring them to justice.
“Islam prohibits the murder of innocent people and those who kill the innocent; their place is in the hell.”
