TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): Security officials on Wednesday said a policeman killed five of his colleagues with an AK-47 rifle at a checkpoint in central Uruzgan province.
The incident happened late on Tuesday night in the Warjan area of Dehrawood district, the district police chief said.
Hajji Abdul Razzaq told Pajhwok Afghan News the assailant had links with Taliban. The policemen were shot dead while having dinner at the checkpoint.
Following the incident, the Taliban stormed the post and took away all weapons. Razzaq said the attacker managed to flee with the Taliban.
