3 policemen killed in Sarobi blast

KABUL (Pajhwok): Three policemen were killed and two others wounded following an explosion in the Sarobi district of capital Kabul on Monday, an official said.

The blast took place in the Khwaja Sai Baba area of Lataband at about 11:00am. Wishing not to be named, a security official said the explosives went off when a police vehicle was supplying food items to check-posts. 

Gulfam, a police commander in the area, confirmed to Pajhwok Afghan News three policemen had been killed and two others wounded.

Latif, an eye witness, said the blast left the police vehicle destroyed. There was no immediate claim of responsibility.
