HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): Unidentified gunmen on Monday kidnapped an Indian national in western Herat province, an official said.
Herat governor’s spokesman, Ehsanullah Hayat, confirmed abduction of the Indian man and said the abducted Indian was working for a foreign organization. He went missing from Zinda Jan district of the province, the spokesman added.
Police have launched investigation to recover the kidnapped man, he said. Zenda Jan is located 35 kilometres to the south of Herat City.
No one has so far claimed responsibility for his abduction.
