1 killed, 17 wounded in Gardez accidents

GARDEZ (Pajhwok): One person was killed and 17 others wounded in two separate accidents in southeastern Paktia province on Tuesday, an official said.

Official said the first accident took place in Shwak area of Chaharchino district when a tractor overturned on the road, killing one person and injuring 13 others. The second accident happened in Benzo area of Gardez City when two corolla cars collided head-on, leaving four civilians wounded.   

Dr. Hayaudin confirmed receiving one dead and 17 injured persons from both incidents. He told Pajhwok Afghan News four of the injured were in critical condition.

One of the injured, Akbar Jan said all victims of the first incident were his family members. The tractor was heading to Gardez city, he added.
