New govt to ensure media freedom: Nai

KABUL, on Thursday asked both presidential contenders to ensure more media freedom after the election.

Speaking to journalists, Siddiqullah Tawhidi complained that none of the two candidates had an inclusive policy with regard to media freedom in the country.

Both contenders, he hoped, would announce their media policy soon after one of them won the ballot. Any censorship of media would derail achievements of the last 12 years, he warned.
