GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Twenty-six militants, including Pakistanis, have been killed in separate operations in southern Ghazni province, officials said on Thursday.
Security forces repulsed an onslaught from a group of well-armed insurgents on security check post in Andar district. The district’s administrative chief said security forces killed 10 rebels, including Pakistanis.
Mohammad Qasim Desiwal told Pajhwok Afghan News security forces suffered no casualties during the clashes but corpses of militants were still lying in the area.
Separately, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) in a statement said a total of 26 insurgents had been killed and 12 others wounded in security forces operations in Ander and Gilan districts.
Also, Taliban claimed inflicting heavy casualties on security forces in various clashes.
