SHARAN (Pajhwok): The bodies of a doctor and two civilians shot dead by militants were found in a deserted area on Wednesday in southeastern Paktika province, an official said.
Brig. Gen. Nabi Jan Malakhel, provincial police chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News the slain individuals were invited by Taliban for a meeting on Tuesday.
However, all in a sudden their dead bodies were found on the outskirts of Sharan City, the provincial capital.
Malahkhel had not details but said investigations into the killings had been launched.
Taliban Spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said it would be premature to speak on the issues as he had lack of information into the incident.
