2 rockets hit Bagram Airfield

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): Two rockets hit Bagram Airfield last evening, resulting in “minor damage to equipment and one building but causing no casualties among International Security Assistance Force (ISAFinfo-icon) troops, the alliance said in a statement on Saturday.

As usual, Talibaninfo-icon claimed responsibility for the attack, with the group’s spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid claimed killing a number of foreign forces in the attack and inflicting heavy damages on equipments.

But ISAF said: “There were no ISAF casualties and the base is secured. There was no effect on operational activity.  ISAF officials are currently assessing the incident.”

Last week, a similar attack at Kabul International Airport damaged four aircrafts.
