KABUL exhibition was launched in the capital Kabul on Monday, organisers said.
The event would continue for 10 days, featuring copies of the Quran written in various forms of art. Recitation of the Quran marked the exhibition at the Dasht-i-Barchi Zahra Mosque.
Abbas Hassan Zadeh, head of the Supreme Council, inaugurated the exhibition. He said the aim was to make people familiar with Islamic arts and culture.
He added drawing and quiz competitions for children had been designed to educate them on Islamic heritage. More than 5,000 books on religion, culture and children’s drawings are on display.
