KABUL Embassy in Kabul on Friday said it had observed three-day mourning to express solidarity with the victims of a terrorist attack on an army-run school in Peshawar
After the Juma prayers, the embassy also arranged a Khatam-i-Quran for those who lost their lives in Tuesday’s assault. The ceremony was attended by members of the Pakistani community in Kabul.
While sharing the bereaved families’ grief, the embassy staff arranged a candlelight vigil. A corner was established in the embassy where the Pakistani and international community placed flowers for the martyred children and school staff.
Afghanistan’s deputy chief executive, ministers, MPs, political leaders, representatives of diplomatic missions and international organisations visited the embassy to sign the condolence book.
