KABUL (Pajhwok):  The Pashtu translation of Pakistani Noble Peace Prize recipient Mala Yousafzai’s book “ I am Malala” has been published by a Kabul-based printing house.

Translated to Pashtu from English by Habib Waqar, Malala has co-written the book with Christina Lamb, a veteran British journalist.

The 327-page book tells how Malala lived under the Taliban when they ruled the scenic Swat valley in northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

The translator has attributed his work to Afghan Malalas — destitute, oppressed and deprived of basic amenities of life.

Yousafzai’s memoir “I Am Malala: The Story of the Girl Who Stood Up for Education and was Shot by the Taliban, was published in October 2013 in the US and the UK.
